Check Sheet
The reasons of check and treatment:
1) The sheets are folded or not neat enough.
2) The values of delivery of sheets are not calibrated properly, for example, the value of border-mark is too high or the value of feeding is too low.
3) The gap of double-sheet is too narrow. It should be one-sheet thickness. Adjust it by the double-sheet screw.
4) The path of sheets is blocked with paper dust or something else.
5) There is something wrong with the delivery wheels or the arms.
6) Sheet doesn't feed, OMR will alarm because of check sync error. Please check if something stops the path of sheets. If not, it means the setting of Column D(39)is too low.
Sync error
1) The values of the photoelectric sensor of Column S (for double-sheet) or D(for Sync) are out of range. For details, refer to Calibration in Chapter 6.
2) The printing of sheets is not qualified. If the clock borders are not darkened enough, darken them or replace them.
3) If the program is not accorded with the sheet, modify it.
4) Some sheets is checked by OMR40C.
Double-sheet Error
1) Improper sheet feeding and delivery setting, e.g., the value of border-mark is too low, the time of feeding-sheet is too long; the time of reverse-feeding-sheet is too short.
2) Adjust the gap of the separation to a sheet thickness.
3) Reduce the thrust from the feeding stacker by adjusting the feeding-stacker screw.
4) Adjust the gap between the feeding stacker and feeding wheel to appropriate position by adjusting the feeding-stacker screw.
5) If the sheets are too damp or with static electricity, please rearrange them.
Format sign and detecting line error
1) Command file doesn't match with the sheets.
2) The position of the sensor is not correct. Please check and adjust it with the aid of Grey Scale function.
3) The sheet feeding and delivery is not steady. Please rearrange the sheets.
4) The sheets are not designed, printed or cut correct. Or type area is not marked.
Excess
1) Some column's setting of consistency is too high.
2) The sheets (forms) should be printed in red read-all OMR machines. If blue or green ground is used, OMR will read marks excessively. You need to use red-grounded sheets or a pencil-read machine.
3) In the command of gray scale"G MM NN mm nn/",the value of "NN" is too low. Common values for the command are "G 03 02 02 05 ", if Excess occurs, try to change it to"G 03 03 02 05".
4) The sheets are stained badly.
Drop-out
1) Some column's setting of consistency is too low.
2) In the command of gray scale "G MM NN mm nn/", the value of "NN" is too high, which means the sensor is too sensitive.
3) Darkness of some marks is too low. The reading areas should be marked manually dark enough.
4) The sensor is not positioned properly.
Wheels don't work
1) The transmission strap loosens or drops.
2) The strap screw loosens.
3) Press STEP button, both motors should be running well, or you are recommended to inspect the connection or motors.
4) Motor control modulus is damaged. Please turn to the professional staff for help.
Power failure
1) Check if the power is proper supplied 220V 50A AC and if it is earthed well.
2) Check if the switch or fuse is in good mood.
3) Check if the cables and plug-ins are properly connected.
4) Check if parts of power supply are damaged.
Offline
1) If the cable is connected wrongly with damaged connector. Please try to fix it again after SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE.
2) If the circuits are broken or in short with a multi-meter. If broken, fix them following "2-3" "3-2" "5-5".
3) BIOS's serial setting if the host computer is not opened or breaking address is set wrongly. The BIOS's serial setting No.1 should be "3F8/IRQ4", No.2 should be "3F8/IRQ3".
4) The serial port is damaged. Try another host computer.
5) The BIOS of Controller Chip is missing.
